In 2022 the following case study was distributed to ECAT participants:
A young man went for elective extraction of 3 wisdom teeth tot the dentist. Although it was quite a long operation the teeth were extracted successfully. Because the following days he suffered from oozing, he went to his family doctor. The doctor indicated that there was a prolonged wound heeling and recommended mouthwash.
Several months later he went for a routine lab check and his family doctor remembers the postoperative complications . He decided to further investigate the issue.
The sample used in this case study survey was from a patient diagnosed for Von Willebrand Disease type 1.
