Thrombin Time (TT) Test

A test used to evaluate the final steps of coagulation. Test result represents the time in seconds required for a fibrin clot to form in a sample after a known amount of Thrombin has been added. Prolonged times are due to heparin or heparin like anticoagulantshyofibrinogenemiadysfibrinogeneimia, or fibrin degradation products.
