Coagulation Inhibitors, Clinical and Laboratory Aspects
The theme of this first special issue is “Coagulation Inhibitors, Clinical an Laboratory Aspects”. In this issue we start with clinical articles describing the immunological background of inhibitor development, allogenic and autologous antibodies and in addition a contribution with both clinical and laboratory aspects about inhibitors to ADAMTS-13. The second part focuses on laboratory aspects with a report about the ECAT workshop on inhibitor detection, a practical article on laboratory detection of FVIII inhibitors using the Nijmegen assay, an article on the detection, improvement and perspectives of factor VIII inhibitors and a contribution on the results of FVIII inhibitor testing obtained from ECAT surveys.
