In 2023 a systematic review and meta-analysis of within-subject and between-subject biological variation data of coagulation and fibrinolytic measurands was published [1]. In this publication only studies with a study duration > 1 week were included. Now biological variation studies witb a duration up to 7 days were evaluated.
This study concluded that biological variation estimates for most haemostatic measurands derived from short- and long-term study designs are similar, with the exception for Von Willebrand Factor and fibrinogen (Clauss).
